I know there have been huge advances in Alternative fueled vehicles and will probbably be getting an Electric Boat, but what about small aircraft for recreation? Like an ultralight or a Powered Parachute or even a glider? I'm not looking for 8 hour flights, just a simple 2 hour putting around flight, that is eco friendly. I know electrics have a long way to go to make the same power and run time of fossil fuels, but has this gap been bridged with recreational aircraft?

I have been fascinated by this aircraft since I was 12, and saw a mockup of the plane in Ottawa

Was the discontinuation of the avro arrow, and the destruction of all working prototypes a conspiracy by the United States, Lockheed and Boeing

It makes sense the arrow was built in the mid - late 50's before the program was halted in 59 It was the cutting edge of aviation technology it had a range of 300 nautical miles, could cruise at mach 1.5, pull 2g maneuvers without losing speed or altitude, and could get from 0 to 50,000 feet and mach 1.5 in less than 5 minutes it was better than anything the united states had built at the time

Did Douchenbaker sell out to the Americans?
Shutting down the Arrow was mutually benifical for the United States, and lockeed and boeing,
The U.S. could ensure that the Royal Canadian Air Force was not on equal footing with the USAF to ensure their superiority, and lockheed and boeing would not lose thier military contracts to avro

Falcon Field. Near bye. Small airport, Cessna, and Bell are there. I am under 18 until June 5th.

I'm wanting to get my bachelors degree for Auronautical Science at MCC. Then join as a Warrant Officer for the US Army. BCT Etc. takes two years, including flight training. My goals is to become a Helicopter pilot for them, have fun. I am not conserned about money, and debt, hopefully I don't have to go into detail, but I just don't have to worry about it. I'm told to worry about what I want and what I will enjoy.

My question is, what and where can I find a job on Falcon Field that can hire me under 18.

Chevron for airplane refueling said I have to be 18. Call in about a month.

But i'm needing gas money! And extra stuff, dates, etc. Or do I have to find a job at Sky Harbor Intl. Airport. Then what job opportunities would be there?

Doesn't this make flight unsafe? Wouldn't it be sufficient to be a couple of feet off the ground to get all the positive effects (=speed) of flight?

When large jets land they reverse engine thrust to brake. After they land and are driving around the airport how do they stop?

I have two questions about jets. The first being, why do some Jets have a point at the tip of the front? And what are those big tube looking things under Jets/Aircraft are they the fuel tanks?

If you're confused here are two pictures..
