I know male pilots can use a bottle, but I wonder if a female pilot could use a diaper. Especially if she is flying with a male crewmember and can't use a urine collection device designed for females.

In the U.S. conflict in S.E. Asia (67-72 era), the Huey gun ships used M-60 machine guns for the "Door Gunners", why did they NOT fit them all with .50 caliber, or "Mini-Guns" as standard equipment on a gun ship ?, would'nt they have had more "Punch" ? is it because the M-60 was lighter, could carry more ammo. to spray at a high rate of speed ?

I have been flying with FS2004 just since this past Christmas. I would like to know how to communicate with Air Traffic Control; as of now I just land wherever I feel like! Would be a nice challenge to be instructed where to land and how far to climb.

I was watching "Concorde: Airport 79" and in it a bad guy sets the main cargo door to open while in flight. It causes a explosive decompression that begins to tear the plane apart.

Soon after (in a matter of seconds) inside the cargo bay a piece of luggage (one that hasnt flown out yet) bangs around the inside and tears through the bottom of the plane.

Is that possible? could a piece of luggage rip the skin of a plane? i would think a plane's skin would be too tough.

Does any flyer here still remembers his/her first solo, did everyting went as planned?, in what aircraft?, airport or lake? (for sea-planes), crosswinds? maybe foggy or had low ceilings?, or maybe you even got yelled by the controller, what I still remember is that a friend of mine who by then was already a commercial told me the day before, that in every first solo flight something unexpected happens, the sucker was right, a window popped open on the take of roll, It was nothing to freak out, I actually had the time to close it back on, but it sure did gave me a good surprise...

For example, the F-15, and other jets. When you fly the plane, does it seem calm or is it like a roller coaster in there. I mean if it's not, how do you withstand supersonic speeds.

If the wing design characteristics of designing a airplane wing acheive better fuel burns and lowering drag results in better aerodynamic platform for airplane wings, how come Boeing hasn't developed a winglet or other drag saving devices for the B777? Airbus has winglets on the majority of their products and Boeing has approved modifications to their wings on the 737-757 series to include winglets, as well as a "cranked wingtip in the 767-400 series. If these winglets or other drag reducing devices have devreased drag as well as improving fuel burns why do we not see winglets on any of the B777 airplanes?

I am about to earn my private pilot license, and i have had 3 instructors since i started. i am two weeks from my checkride and about 23 weeks ago i found out for the first time about power on stalls while turning. i did a power on stall straight ahead with my instructor when he told me to turn to the left or right, but i just did one straight ahead and he didnt say anything. what should i do?? should i tell my instructor that i have never done it, and tell the examiner i have never done those before. i got a letter from a fellow pilot and all he wrote was power on stalls, and my other two instructors have never told me to turn in a stall. What should I do? and also what happens during a power on stall?
