If you are traveling within US, use the airlines' web site (e.g. www.united.com or nwa.com or aa.com) for cheapest rate. Other agency (non-airline) web-site always have a higher fee/ booking fee. And most of the airlines grantee lowest rate. Check their web-site for details.
However, to do a quick comparison of prices between airlines, I used other travel web-site, such as airfarewatchdog.com. And then, go to the airline web-site directly.

the main inexpensive tickets are the place you circulate to a low classification and are not solid seats like w/ fairly some college pupils that are partying so in case you like college drunks then circulate low-value!

Fare compare first... is the best place.... on long trips like
to go first class they are 40% cheaper in there. then
from travel agent.

Depends on where you're travelling from....if it's say from Tokyo, Japan to Texas, it'll be expensive.
