I'm relatively afraid of heights, and I hate the feeling of free-falling. Flying in an airplane- like a commercial jetliner, not a Cessna- is scary for me. Scary, but I'll do it. Now even though I love helicopters, I've always been too afraid to fly in one. Is a helicopter flight more likely to give you that terrifying, zero-G feeling you get on an airplane's descent? Oh, and when I say I love helicopters, I mean I'm SUPER into them! Am I totally wrong to think that I'd be too scared to enjoy myself?

Helicopters look easy. What controls are there and how do you use them? And are they really safe? And is being an airline pilot really that glamorous?

I have read that Northrop did testing on a B-66 in the 60's, that showed with a 65% laminer flow, range was increased and fuel consumption was lowered by 1500 pounds per flight.

okay, do you think its fair that his life is totally ruined; he was below the legal limit .038...the limit is .040...and now his life is completely ruined because the cops still pressed charges against him...Do you think he deserved such harsh treatment?

If a commerical plane is having trouble in the sky, then an option is to strap on parachutes and dive down to safty rather than "going down with the ship" or in this case...plane.

I met a guy thru online personals. He says he's a private pilot AND that he was in the US Marine Reserves or Guard and flew COBRA helicopters. I am starting to think maybe he's lying, but I don't know. Is there a site with FAA or other that at least lists names and if possible addresses for NY pilot? Thank you very much.

The Current qualified aircraft mechanics ages are from 40 to 60 years old . there are few schools that are open too train new recruits . Being a aircraft mechanic in the airlines is very unappelaing , because the pay is low and the hours are bad . Most of us work weekends , holidays , and paid the same wages that were paid in the early 80s . A car mechanic makes 3 times more than a aircraft mechanic in the airlines and dosnt have to work weekends or holidays , At One time a few years back , there were over 1500 schools to train new recruits , Now there are only a hundred . In ten years or less all of us that are 45 to 60 will retire , and with no new prospects in the pipeline there will be a crises and a shortage of qualified mechanics . Very Few in the public relize what extent of a burden that a aircraft mechanic has when it comes to performing there job , a costly mistake can kill over 100 people with one serious crash . There has too be steps taken now to make the trade more appea
