First, it's HIGHLY unlikely that all of the above would be true.

If it is, you have almost zero chance of landing anything that flies between LA and NY by yourself. A simulator (I assume you mean a computer simulator and not an airline training type sim) does NOT prepare to land, or even fly, a large airplane. In fact, even pilots who fly small aircraft aren't prepared for the large weight and higher airspeeds of large turbine aircraft.

Dude, make sure you are well hydrated and rested, then at the first sign of trouble get yourself into the bathroom, whatever it takes! Throw the lock and STAY in there. You can't fly the plane anyway. Don’t be fooled by what you hear outside, like somebody saying nothings going on, or that they got’a go, or some other terro b.s. tricks! If you hear a really loud blast, it could be they did have a bomb. If the plane is able to land you should still wait awhile to be sure that things have cooled down before you come out. If you have body armor, wear it. Good luck.

The important thing to remember is that a plane cannot be hijacked as long as the pilots are still in control. With the advent of bullet-proof, armored cockpit doors, the chances of a terrorist or other potential hijacker accessing the flight deck is very low. On top of this, the passenger attitude this day is such that no one will allow anything out of the ordinary to occur on an aircraft. You would be surprised how many people have no problem jumping on anyone who is out of control, and restraining them until the plane has safely landed. In the years since 9/11, I believe that many Americans have taken the stance of the heroes aboard United 93; we will never let anything like 9/11 happen again. My best advice is to sit back and relax, because the ground crew do an excellent job of screening passengers and baggage before either get on an airplane.

Well, first off the odds of a terrorist ever taking control of another plane is very minimal. The cockpit doors are locked and not opened for any reason. Even if there is a bomb on the plane the pilots are instructed to never give up control of the airplane, so it really doesn't matter what you do. However, it would be best to gather a large group of people and bum rush the terrorists, a few people might get injured but you will overwhelm the terrorists and regain control

First condition is keep calm & cooperate with them as well as with the Crew. Not everyone is a James Bond.

1. If the terrors don't have bomb my fingers will itch to have a combination of martial arts with them, if the situation allows.
2. If they have the Bomb...better keep silence.
3. If Terrors & pilot dead...at least I will try to fly the aircraft...from the knowledge I have so far...I will definitely try.
4. If terror don't have bomb but plenty in numbers...better keep silence. If two of them...I will offer them to fly the aircraft for them. My aim would be then to make them fool & land the aircraft by any means. Once landed, the ground authorities will definitely take care through negotiations...no other option seems to me except this...

Good Luck!

First, ask the terrorist what his weapon is. If it is a bomb, scream like a little girl and wet your pants. Then go pig out on the peanuts. But, if he thinks he can take over the plane with a forbidden object like nail clippers or tweezers, whip his a**! There is no reason for you to be late because tweezerboy has a bad attitude.

Get off the plane.
Seriously, the chances are very slim this will happen and surely you have something more important to worry about....like if you will be in a car jacking (which happens more often than plane hijackings) or the price of eggs in china (which you can control about as much as a plane jacking.

Ummm, you have nothing to worry about, love. Don't dwell on it because you have a bigger chance winning a million dollars. Think about the hundreds and thousands of airplanes that fly EVERYDAY without any incidents. If you were to be in that situation though, the best thing to do would be to call your family and tell them you love them. If you have the balls, try to intercept the terrorists like they did on United Airlines flight 93 on September 11. But chances are, you nor any of us will ever have to experience that, so RELAX!!

all you worries are basically unfounded and are going to ruin what is actually a really nice flight.
I'll assume for a moment that you are right , what do you do ?
Accept the fact that you are dead. Now that you are dead the bad guys can't kill you. Time to act and do everything in your power to stop the bad guys. You can laugh at their threats because you're already dead and they can't kill you twice ,can they ?

I would run up and down the aisles and scream like a girl. At least that's what I do if they run out of club soda. You can relax, there are air marshals on every flight now that are armed. They wear plain clothes and are undercover... you'll be fine.
