I filled my taxes as head of household for many years. On those years I got married and lived together for 3 months with a guy. It took me 1 year to file fo divorce and 2 years for the divorce to be granted. THe IRS is very vague when it states that a person filing as Head of Household should be "considered unmarried". I need to clarify this in order to get my american citizenship. Please help.

I have been working at a hair salon for five years. My boss has slowly let things go downhill. As of july she told us we are responsible for our own taxes. Fine I set aside money every week for that , well I have since found out from an old owner that my current boss hasn't paid our taxes for the first half of the year before the change was made. It was deducted each week from our paychecks, but apparently never sent in and I was told she will not have the means of paying us back, My boss doesn't know that I am aware of this, What should I do? I feel like sha stole right out of my pocket. Do I hire a lawyer call workforce commission, or what please, help.

I ask because I am self employed and have to keep receipts for EVERYTHING. My mom is always ragging on me because you "never know when you could get audited" because I haven't been the greatest at saving every single receipt... But I've never heard of it happening. How likely is it? Thank you

I am a 1st time home owner, boy what a chore, and I was wondering, how much, what percent of your interest paid in on your mortgage do you get back at income tax time, and how do they figure the depreciation value of your home? Even if it goes up in value, do you still claim the depreciation at taxes?

I had a breast augmentation done. It has created a stronger sense of self-esteem, and self worth. In return I am able to be more assertive and more decisive as I feel much stronger. As a funeral director/embalmer, t his has made a significant difference. With these results, is there a chance of a tax deduction for the procedure?
