I have mutual fund dividends and i sold a few stocks which I have less than one year. I did not cash in any of the mutual funds. How do I tally all of this on my tax form, 1040??? Do I add of all them together on sectin 2? My total is over 1500$ But individually the mutual fund income is less than 1500 and so is the stock?

Ok bare with me as i try to explain my situation :-)
Ok i have a mortgage processing business which is an LLC, I plan to have as a main company and also I have a virtual secretary business (which isn't registered as of yet) I wanted to know should I put the virtual secretary under the LLC or make it an LLC as well for tax purposes? The virtual secretary doesnt make much money, just the mortgage loan processing business. Should I have it under the Loan processing business or can i? Or do i have it as its own LLC? What would be the tax advantages and disadvantages of doing so? any answer to any part of my question is helpful. Thanks

Did you ever just sit down and look at your homeowner taxes? Do you think its right to pay for things that you don't go to or have any say so over? The zoo and museum is one thing ,but you pay now for Crime information Center. Is that the police department?

Hi, I just got my W2 today and noticed that no federal taxes were taken out all year for 2006. In Jan 2006, I changed my W4 from claiming 0 dependants to claiming 3 dependants. I figured that with 3 kids, I needed the money more during the year. I also recieved a raise in Jan 2006 and because my check only went up about $50 per bi-weekly check, nothing clicked that something could be wrong. As far as looking at my check stub, I get direct deposit and the stub is sent in the mail. When I get it I file it away. Well, I learned a lesson. But my question is, should changing my dependants to 3 make my employer take out 0 for federal taxes? Or did they screw up somewhere?

Last year Rattner Robotics had $5 million in operating income (EBIT). The company had net depreciation expense of $1 million and interest expense of $1 million; its corporate tax rate was 40 percent. The company has $14 million in current assets and $4 million in non-interest-bearing current liabilities; it has $15 million in net plant and equipment. It estimates that
it has an after-tax cost of capital of 10 percent. Assume that Rattner’s only noncash item was depreciation.
1. What was the company’s net income for the year?

2. What was the company’s net cash flow?

3. What was the company’s net operating profit after taxes (NOPAT)?

4. What was the company’s operating cash flow?

5. If operating capital in the previous year was $24 million what was the company’s free cash
flow (FCF) for the year?

6. What was the company’s Economic Value Added (EVA)?

I don't know if I should post this or not but I recently moved 300 miles from where I used to live. Every year I would get back on my taxes anywhere from 3000 to 4000 but when I went to file the other day all they could do was 1600. I don't know the difference. A friend told me he must have been a little shady and found some loop holes cause the more he gets me back the more he gets paid. Ok, so I need to know some one in the Chattanooga TN or Dalton GA or even surrounding areas that could help me. Any info would be great or you can e-mail me at tim_stewart68@yahoo.com.
Thanks.
