I moved to Philly and informed my work. They said they filed it but it was somehow rejected most likely because they did it wrong. So I have lived in Philly without paying city wages tax for a year!! I am freaking out because I am going to owe them thousand of dollars!!! I just ask my work what to do, who to call and they just shrugged!!!! They don't know!!! Does anyone have any clue, where I should start getting this mess straighten out??

Some taxes have a more positive effect on the economy, while others are a drag. Which are the most efficient? Corporate, personal income, consumption, behavior modifying (gas, energy, alcohol) or others?

Please only educated responses. Thanks.

I will pay the loan out in 18 months. The loan amout was $30,000. I only recv'd about 300 a paycheck for the last year. Since I am getting paid that low amount instead of my $1500 a check, Is there somewhere when filing my return that I can add to to help my return amount? I am paying 8% interest on this loan. Kind of confusing but I am very curious. Earn Income Maybe? Is there a place on my w-2 that my employer should put this loan amont instead of income? I know that this is confusing but I need help!

(Sorry to be a pain TaxCut won't have KY state available until 1-26-07. I am wanting to get taxes done ASAP...I NEED a new refrigerator. =)

My ex-husband & I have joint custody, although my son lives w/me, he only goes with his dad twice a wk. I do not receive child support, but my ex pays for our son's school (pre-K).

Now, when filing our taxes, may I be able to claim our son as my dependant, and then have my ex file for the child care expenses?

OK, honesty here-

I want to start an escort business as a side business. If I pay taxes on what I make, wouldn't it then be discovered what I'm doing? Or if I don't pay taxes, no one will ever know.

Any advice?

I just started into a business and I am concidered an independant distributor. I need the complete spill down about everything. I have contacted the IRS and requested information but I did not even know what they were talking about. I think it would be best if I took some tax courses. I tried H&R Block. Their next course is not until August. I would like something a lot sooner. Suggestion.?
