The form says "refer to the instructions," but I'm using the TaxCut program from H&R Block, and if this is in the instructions, I can't find it. What do you know?

So i'm alreay to shop off ebay with a confirmed paypall but i'm just wondering, when i buy something from the states and they say shipping is $22.50 and i'm in canada, do they mean its 22.50 to canada in american dollars or in canadian?

And also, after i buy an item do i also pay for shiipping immediately or is that at my door at home. I know i have to pay sales tax [8.250%] for items coming into canada....

My account has allowed me to file an extention on my 2004, 2005 , and now probably my 2006 tax return. When is the 2004 past the extention date ? Is it 3 years from 2004, or 3 years from it's first due date of April 15, 2005? Please if you are not sure, don't answer. Thank you.

I recently received a phone call from someone who said that they were from the IRS. His voice had a really heavy accent and he said that the IRS was going to give me $12,500 just because I am a tax paying citizen. Has anyone else come across this same scenario?

Essentially I have misc. income (classified) independent contractor from an odd job. The IRS website tells me to fill out a schedule 1040 C (or CEZ), then a Schedule SE for self employment tax, ok. I think I get that but the 1099MISC has only copies marked for state and recipient, how does the IRS know what I'm filing if there is nothing to attach to the 1040? Doesn't all income have to have documentation? -This is not the same as a 1099R.

I don't want the expense of buying the program at the last minute and don't want to confront the individual either. please help......

I recently took out a home equity loan to pay off some credit card bebt. I would like to make double payments each month to pay off the debt early. Since I will take off the interest each year on my taxes would it be better to just make double payments or make one payment and pay the other payment toward the principle only?

I know all the accountants are franticly busy, but I just returned from overseas and haven't filed my taxes. I was wondering if anyone knew which was better, filing an extension, or filing late? There is a $25 extension fee, and filing late seems to be 5% each month on what you owe... I am so confused.. any advise?

I moved to Texas in June of last year. I am trying to do my own taxes this year and I have done the Federal taxes already. I need to do the State taxes and I'm not sure which form to print out. I was thinking it would be the 540NR since I'm not a California resident anymore, but not completly sure. I also don't know if I need to do two seperate forms for me and my husband because this year was the first time we filed jointly. Can someone please help me! I would really appreciate it....Thanks!
