I live with my partner who works full time for minimum wage and we get child tax credit and working tax credits both at the high rate.
I am going to start working part time 3 hours a week, 100 pounds a month.
Would I have to pay tax on this 100 a month and would my tax credits go down?

My teenage son gets survivor benefits from his mom's death. The benefits are attached to his social security number. He worked part time this year, so it will be his first time filing an income tax return. Does he have to claim his survivor benefits on his tax form? (please no answers stating I should call a CPA... I will if I don't get an actual answer here :-)

Irs.gov Where is my refund said my refund was direct deposited on Fri 1/26. It hasn't posted to my checking acct yet. I verified my routing # and acct # with my bank and everything is order. My bank shows no pending direct deposits either. The acct is in my name so that wouldn't be an issue and I have no one that would garnish a refund?? So where could MY refund be??

I've been working in the UK for 8 months and told by the Inland Revenue that I'm still paying emergency taxes, as the tax code on my wageslips is BR. In November 2006 I applied to have my money back but I've just received a letter from the Tax Inspector telling me that my correct tax code 2006/2007 is 503L. Checking on Internet I've found out that BR isn't an emergency tax code, and that 503L is the real one. What does it mean? Is it all right, am I going to receive back my emergency taxes or they have made some mistake? Thank you!

I moved in October, and so I need my landlord from January-Sept of 2006 to get me the Certificate of Rent Paid form for my tax returns. She does not answer mail and her number is no longer listed. She is a private renter, not with a company. I have googled her name and tried the white pages.

If I can't contact her for this form (which she should KNOW she needs to get to me), can I still do my taxes? This is the last form I'm waiting on and I want to get this done. Can I use a substitute form?

I had someone (not a professional tax preparer) do my taxes while I was in college and I do not believe they ever included my education expenses because I never provided them with my 1098T form. I do not have any of my W-2's for these years or the actual return that was filed. Can I obtain a copy from some where?

Does the Indian tax law allow the individual to pay House Rent to his/her Parents. Or is the exempted only when you are paying rent to a landlord.

I contributed about $600 to my Roth IRA in 2006. I don't get taxed on that do I? I heard I get a refund for 15% of that or something. Can someone please clear that up for me. Also, if it matters, I'm self-employed.

Thanks!
