Irs.gov Where is my refund said my refund was direct deposited on Fri 1/26. It hasn't posted to my checking acct yet. I verified my routing # and acct # with my bank and everything is order. My bank shows no pending direct deposits either. The acct is in my name so that wouldn't be an issue and I have no one that would garnish a refund?? So where could MY refund be??

The involved banks have up to three business days to make that direct deposit available to you. If a weekend or holiday intervenes, it will be longer. Knowing that some banks defer Friday afternoon transactions for Monday, you could possible wait one more day.

Your bank should make funds available as soon as it receives the deposit. The sending bank has 2 business days days to make the transaction.

Call the Internal Revenue Service at 1-800-829-1040, talk to a representative there, they wil review your acct and see what the problem is.

If you owe student loans, child support, filed bankruptcy--that's where your money goes. Back taxes will also grab the refund.
