I could sell it myself, but I would rather donate it, and then it is up to the buyer to pay for moving it.

I never signed any tax forms and they took it upon themselves to claim zero, which resulted in them taking out $165.00. I know that has to be illegal for them to claim for me, How could they get away with that?

Anyone know if it is against the law for your ex-wife to forge her name on a Tax Return while your going through a separation before a divorce when you are away in another state. I was told by the IRS it was tax fraud on someone else writing their name on the Tax Form. Could this be true if the IRS said this.

Thanks

my husband works for comcast, they do not give him money for gas. So I know we will be able to use the receipts as a tax deduction, but what about his truck payments?

My ex-employer as well as my current employer have deducted tax at source. From my gross salary my ex-employer has deducted Rs 10000 under chapter VI A. My current employer has deducted 100000 as per norm. So my total deduction from gross salary is coming to 110,000. What do i do?

I want to know how much and what kind of taxes I will have to pay the US government in the situation where I would live in Switzerland working remotely from my home as an independent contractor (1099) to a US company and I would be paid to a US bank account. If possible, I would also like to know what taxes I would have to pay to the Swiss government.

Correct me if I am wrong. It is my understanding that if a company employs you for everyday work and you are hired to do work with-in the nature of that business that the employer must pay taxes on you. I further believe that you can only hire someone as a 1099 employee is they are performing a service for you that falls outside of the company's business (example, if you are pizza cook in a pizza restaurant they must hire you as a regular employee for whom they share in the payment of taxes, but if you are a handyman and you come into the pizza shop on occassion to fix things then you can be a 1099 employee who is solely responsible to taxes).

Am I right or wrong? Can you site sources? I'd sure appreciate your help. Thank you.

I am working in NJ, but I just moved to NYC. Is that I can save more if I keep my NJ address as my primary residency and use my NYC address as my secondary home? so I can enjoy lower state tax from NJ and mortgage interest allowance from federal? is that true?

I mainly do importing and exporting. I got a problem from some vendors outside of EU. When they shipped the goods to me through courier companies who will pay the importing VAT on my behalf, the value of goods in the document with shipment is very lower than what I paid to them. That means they send me an invoice when I paid on wich the amount is genuine. But when they sent the goods, they used another invoice with lower amount. What I concern is what should I do with importing VAT? I don't intend to evade of VAT. For me, I hope the can declare the true value. But the venders didn't for their reasons. The goods had been paid less VAT than they should when they came in UK. I think I can claim back the importing VAT as input VAT even I paid more.So the more I paid, the more I can claim back. This don't make a difference. But will this make me smuggler? What is the best solution for me?

My boss asked to call in the payroll @ 40 hours, to pay employees O.T. with a co. check 80%, Is this Tax Evasion? That is he only paid them 80% of their overtime, and I don't think he is planning on reporting it. What should I do if I am the bookkeeper? Am I involving myself in illegal accounting practices, if I call in the payroll? We also have a CPA. Or is the CPA the responsible one?
