Tough call. I've visited Galway and Copenhagen on a couple of occasions, loved both and would happily (gratefully) live in either. I don't speak Danish - though most Danes I met spoke fluent English - so can't get fully into the culture: that's Advantage Galway, because I love literature so could absorb their rich tradition. Copenhagen, though, is a great city - clean, liberated and cosmopolitan. Deuce. The winters are freezing, but the summers dry and warm...rains pretty persistently in Galway... so, Advantage Copenhagen. Anyway, from much deeper experience, I'd say don't settle in Scotland until it becomes independent.
