I assume you're a guy? Well, whatever she is doing is getting your attention - which may mean she thinks you are sexy too. But calling someone gay is not a NICE way to get your attention! Maybe she thinks that because you haven't noticed her, calling you gay will make you want to prove that you're not - by showing an interest in her. Girls are funny that way.
