I have a business idea I'm trying to develope. Still in the planning stage right now but I 'm looking for any help in promoting once it's in the final stage. Would like to know more about blogging and/or any good promotional ideas. Idea is based on promoting reading. I have developed a slogan and logo. Hope to start with T-shirts, bumper stickers. Would blogging help in promotion?

My new dance instruction business was going really well during the early part of the year. Now it's taken an 80% dive because of the holidays. I teach private and semi-private group lessons at a home studio. This is my first year doing this full-time so I'm feeling the significant drop in students. I was pretty depressed for a couple of weeks and just took the time to have fun. Now, I need to work on more promoting and marketing but I'm feeling a physical and psychological adversion to doing it.

What I've done in the past was just post on Craigslist to get business and was doing really well. It kept me busy and I know I was really lucky not having to advertise anywhere else to drum up business. I know this is a seasonal trend because a friend has been doing this full-time for many years. I know I need to keep promoting like adding other ad listings on other websites, passing out flyers and giving out gift certificates and such to drum up more business during this difficult period.

Am thinking about geting into the biblical counselling business. Its all about counselling people who are depress, downhearted, in need of private prayer and advise, etc..... What I'd like it to do is:
- Quality management
- Customer relationship management
- Asset management
that kind of stuff. We currently use a bunch of unlinked spreadsheets, MS Outlook, etc. It's very messy.

It would be good if we could adapt the database to our own purposes over time...

She seems to have bought it hook, line, and sinker. It's sad to because she just got laid off from work. It would be sad if she wasted all her severance pay and time on their crap.
We aren't close friends, just former co-workers. She called me trying to get me into it. I tried to tell her what it was after I googled on Quixtar and realized it was the new Amway. She said "the internet is like a bathroom wall, people will write slanderous untrue things". What do you want to bet that line is straight from her "start-up kit".

They say that the first steps in brainwashing cult members is to tell them to ignore people outside the cult and remain positive. Yes ignore your common sense!!

Anyone have any ideas about how to get her out of this? We have a mutual friend that I may contact.

I recently, started mailing out circulars, and money making opportunites to
a group of people. Over the summer I saw the results and were amazed.
Checks were coming in the mail, and I made new friends overnight. I learned
a lot about the world, and about society. It is absoluelty incredible. And I
