My answer is simple because it work on all aspects of life.
1. Write down all the things you want to accomplish. Do not worry about the how, when, or why's, just write your goals all of them.
2. Ask yourself why you want to accomplish these goals (all positive) then list all negative if you don't accomplish these goals.
3. Ask yourself what are you willing to sacrefice/give up to accomplish each of your goals individually.
4. Note all the positive people that surround you daily, then all the negative people that surround you, honestly. Focus only on the positive people and try to stay away from the negative ones because they will hinder your growth. Did not share your dreams with the negative group because well you know what they will do.
5. With each individual goal list all you need to do to accomplish that goal, don't worry about the how's.
You will notice without any effort on your part, that all your goal will be accomplished. I don't know why it works, just that I have accomplish every goal I have listed for the last four years without any effort other listing and keeping my goals in front of me daily so I can physically see them daily. When the opportunity surface for any of my listed goals I acted immediately without any doubt. Even when obstacles surface you will find the solution this way as well.
You already have the courage, you just need to trust yourself more. Your mind is a great instrument and will provide you with answers or direct you to sources with the answers.
I'm talking from experience, because I just started two new businesses and purchased my first house when I didn't have a dime or a job using this technique. I was just like you just four short years ago. Try it out for a year, watch what happens.

The first thing to do is write a business plan. When I was starting my career development class I was told a study was done showing that businesses with actual business plans make 80% more than businesses that do not have plans.
Once you have plan, including short term and long term goals, it won't really take courage, it will just take action. It is kind of like learning to swim, it is only scarey while you don't know how.
For help in writing your business plan, I would contact the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) It is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide.

You decide that no matter what, you will put 150% to achieving the your dreams. You need to have a business plan on how you intend to run the business and finance it. Remember that a strong will is best as opposed to the best capital. No matter what hurdle comes your way, it is just a smally obstacle to achieving your dream. Never loose hope.

Believe in yourself, follow the desires and passion in your heart and ignore the naysayers you tell you "No".
Surround yourself with people who appreciate and accept your vision, keep a positive attitude within yourself and believe anything is possible.
