how to make fast money?

I want to get a treadmill but the one that I want is at Walmart and now that there a NO MORE layaways I was wondering what other kind of gimmack they will come up with. I don't want to get a walmart credit card because I have enough credit cards and I don't need another one. I don't want to put it on my other card. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of any other financing option or plan that Walmart will come up with to take the place of layaways. I would start saving on a gift card but with my luck I probably would spend it. HELP - please don't suggest going to Kmart because I really don't like the treadmills at our Kmart.

Here's the thing, I was in major debt a few months back, and went to the bank. I consolidated all my loans into one montly payment i could afford. Which all was a total of 23,000. My payments a month are 530.00 Okay im cool with that. Got all my credit cards closed EXCEPT, one line of credit with ING, and a bank visa the bank advised me of keeping because i had credit with it....Well today I am now in debt AGAIN with the visa and line of credit, for 3000.00 total. I am going to to bank in a few days too get this one all sorted out and tell them i HAVE to close all cards, etc, because I obviously have a spending/money problem...this is really hard for me right now, im ashamed and feel so dumb for doing this again. I hate having to go back to the bank to tell them this and I doubt they will help me out again, but how much can i tell the loan officer, can i tell them what i just told you, that i have a huge problem with money, and need all line of credits/visa closed,

2) In GENERAL, you get more money in return investing in what, franchise or real estate?
3) In GENERAL, what's less riskier, real estate or franchise?
4) Anything else you think that might be helpful would be good.

to know if it is a bad idea to take this 6000 and start up a Roth IRA with it. I figure that I can possibly out run the loan, pay it back, and still make money. The 6000 would give me a good starting ground to begin saving.

Is this a bad idea? Please help

I have had a 401k for a couple of years it has about $4000 in it. I only make about $12,000 a year and need this money. I am thinking of cashing it in. Currenlty it is invested in a CD. I am single, and have some deductions (Teacher expenses, school expenses, and student loan interest) how much money will I lose by cashing this in?

My father gave my husband and I $24,000 for Christmas to use in any way on the following things:

* retirement
* college for our child (we have a three month old baby)
* house payments
* investments/stocks

How would you spend it to make the most of it? I need some good, solid advice here.

A little background to help in each category:

* retirement - neither of us have retirement plans...I used to teach public school and have some set aside from that, but now am self-employed...

* college for our child (we have a three month old baby) - we have $5,000 saved so far in an account strictly for her college...so we HAVE started thinking about that...

* house payments - our monthly payments are about $2700 and we are doing fine (30 year mortgage) but could probably pay "on principle" and shorten our mortgage by several years...?

* investments/stocks - my father strongly encouraged us to invest in some stocks, but my husband and I know nothing about that and are nervous.

If I am wanting to sell on ebay can I have the fees taken from my checking or savings account instead of a credit card? Do I need to go to my bank to get it approved that they withdraw the fees? I have looked at ebay site, but still not sure what to do.
