I have an account, but I have only bought things, not sold. I thought I read that you have to pay $0.50 to sell things do I have to have a credit card to pay this?

There is no fees required to see any item on ebay. However if you wan to sell some item you have to pay a listing fees. The fees can be payed either by credit card or paypal account. Both of them are reasonably safe since they use the highest encryption level of security.

Yes you will need a credit card to sell & 50 cents wont even cover the cost of an auction with an item priced to sell for 99 cents, and fees for high priced items can be quite expensive. No you do not need a credit card but you do need a bank account where they can withdraw the money it costs to sell items on e-bay.

yup. i wanted to sell things but can't because i don't have a credit card....it asks for your credit # and all that.

You can use paypal or you can sign your checking account up for direct deposit. And let them transfer the payment automatically.
