What is the best (most cost effective) way of withdrawing money abroad? I've got a HSBC current account but that is going to charger me £1.75 for every cash withdrawal i make. I'm in Thailand and Australia for 3 months so £1.75 per transaction is soon going to mount up!

The account which i had is now closed and the Bank are persuing me for the outstanding balance (over £1000). They have passed it on to a debt collection agency who are sending me letters every other week! I would like to know if i am still liable to pay this outstanding balance and also if i am entitled to anything back. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

to know what I could do in my free time to make more money. I work about 5 hours between the hours of 6pm-11pm.
I feel like this other time is wasted and I could be doing something else. I know $100k is a nice living but the feeling of wasted time drives me crazy. Any realistic ideas would be great.

i am not a business
and i also did not include a PO number????/?? what happened was i was placing an order online and as i was doing so i mistakenly selected to pay by purchase order instead of a credit card. well realizing my error i quickly placed another order with my correct credit card info. however five mins later, i got an email saying that i had placed an order n paid with a purchase order......my ? is...will the goods be shipped at all since... My husband was unaware that, for one semester, the school withdrew his financial aid. They failed to notify him until the semester was over. He was unable to pay out of pocket for the tuition and the debt was sent to collections. The collector is now suing him. We were thinking to file bankruptcy because we can't afford to pay, but can a bankruptcy wipe out this debt? It wasn't a student loan, it was just a debt to the school.

I tried prosper and no responses, Are there any lenders who take chances on bad credit after bankruptcy, I just got another job but a loan would speed things up for me otherwise I guess I have to do it the long way.I don't mind high interest,don't own a home and don't want to consolidate,I just need a boost to pay off some bills. I just moved with this guy who left after 2 months and stuck me with everything to pay on my own and I have 2 teens. I learned I trusted the wrong man to make that move with. Any advice would help I want 5000. If not I did get another job so I do have a plan to salvage my situation.

my bank transfered 500USD instead of 500GBP to an account i have in China from my UK GBP account. I asked them to call back the dollars and resend in pounds or face the wrath of the financial ombusman which they did. .. however some months later the dollars are still in my dollar account at the bank of china. how long before the dollars become mine legally?
