No weasel factors allowed, just a simple answer. I can't pick the
return to use in calculations -- that's the informed, educated answer needed. Planners ask clients for the assumed return and
length of time needed. Duh. With that info., it becomes a "no brainer." That is the needed advice.

i've served 16yrs and I need 5 more yrs to retire, recently the base i live on became privatized and now we pay rent. base on my rank or grade im paying $1700.00 a month, so now i want to buy a home, im fully qualified to get my VA Loan, and im a first time buyer. im looking to by within the next 6 to 10 months. i have some negative marks on my credit report most of which have been paid, at time of purchase all negative remarks will have been paid at least for 4 months. can you point in right direction. i know i will have to pay a higher interest rate along with putting some money down. my worry is that i dont want to get ripped off. i would really like to buy a new house in my area but i dont want to spend more than $300,000. Even with being military and having my VA Loan certificate how much do you think i would have put down and at what percent, say if my credit rating was 650?

When I go to restaurant, or buy things in a supermarket, or whenever I spend my money, is it cheaper to use my Debit card than my credit card?

for example, would the meal cost more expensive if I use my credit card? would the things I buy from stores cost more if I use my credit card rather than my debit card?

one more question.

If I rent an apartment in a city, can I pay my monthly rent with my credit card? would they charge me more if I use my credit card?

thank you so much!

I am a language student about to spend my year abroad in Cuba. I need to be able to access money and want to know the best way for my parents to send me money from England. Are there any recommended methods???? I have a Barclays bank account in the UK, however I am aware that using cashpoints etc can be very very expensive. Are there any better methods? I will be there for 10 months.

If bonds are in a childs name and they want to cash them in do they have to pay taxes on them? I know you have to make a certain amount a year to file. Or does it go on the parents and they have to add it as income? Also do you just go to your bank to cash them in?

My bank claims they will not approve the transaction over your account balance and any overdraft protection that you may have. I just can not see why people get overdrawn that just use debit card and write no checks.

Pennies I mean.
You cannot really buy anything for a penny nowadays so why are they still around?
Is it so that we get change from all those shops that try to fool us?

You know,... the ones that say:

"BARGAIN! UNDER £5.00!" and there it is, the £4.99p price tag!
