I live in Metairie, LA and looking for any bank that offer notary service for free or a charge($5). I need to get my birth certificate copy and other docs notarized. I heard some banks offer this service free to its members. Any responsed would be appreciated.

I have several ideas which I feel would benefit several companies either by improving the products they make or new products. Im aware that simply writing the letter 'C' for copyright is good enough for stories etc but what about financial protection for ideas.

The lights are out in the parking lot in my apartment complex. I called and complained last week and still nothing has been done. I want to write a formal complain and bring it to the office today, telling them I feel this is unsafe and would like the lights replaced (which is stated in my lease that they will do).

How do I write a formal letter? What should the basic format of the letter look like?

I have a 24lb package of a bike engine. being sent to massachusettes. right now the tracking still says Transit through DHL facility Atlanta Hub, GA 10/25/2007 6:53 am. so since yesterday at 7 it has not been updated. estimated delivery is today 10/26/07. will they deliver on time?

Alright well basically, I bought a Halo 3 Limitied Edition Xbox 360 controller from this guy on eBay and paied via personal cheque: I sent the cheque off about 3 weeks ago (we are both in the Uk so it wouldn't have taken that long to actually get to him). Yesterday, I started to get a bit worried as to where my controller was, so I check the profile of the guy who sold it to me, and it said "No longer a registered eBay member" or "This member is no longer registered", whatever.

Does this mean that I've been scammed? I was thinking that the seller might have sent my controller to me BEFORE un-registering and it might just be taking a long time, but the question is why the seller would de-register right after making a sale in the first place.

How long is the delivery turnaround for your order? I ordered something from there on a Monday evening and I read in their delivery policy that it takes 3-5 days for the product to be delivered so I'm expecting it to arrive on or before Saturday evening.

If an equipment was completely destroyed (involuntarily), and a salvage company disposed of the equipment free of charge, how would you record the disposal of equipment in regards to accumulated deprecation and original cost.

The accounts reflected this on the date of "sale" or disposal

Original Cost: 76,200
Residual Value 4,200
Estimated Life 15 years
Accumulated Deprecation (straight line) 57600 (12 years)

I don't know how to balance out the equation (a=l+e) on this one.
