The lights are out in the parking lot in my apartment complex. I called and complained last week and still nothing has been done. I want to write a formal complain and bring it to the office today, telling them I feel this is unsafe and would like the lights replaced (which is stated in my lease that they will do).

How do I write a formal letter? What should the basic format of the letter look like?

Thank you!

Word has templates for business letters. Just state the facts including that you have previously contacted them by phone. Mention that it is a safety concern and since it's stated in the lease that this will be taken care of by the complex mgt that you would like a date by which you can expect this to be competed.

In the same boat ! Im thinking just using microsoft word will be good.

Address it to " apartment name management "

Or even consider writeing it to the company that manages your apartment complex.
