Here we are dependent on foreign oil and we are drilling less.

you have to have places with potential to drill at..it is expensive..............we are getting oiled out................

The oil in the Middle East is far easier to remove. It is found in greater quantities per well than anywhere else in the world. It is also one of the easier types of oil to refine.
The best oil to refine is actually the oil found in Texas and the Gulf of Mexico. The second best to refine into useful products, and most plentiful, is the oil in the Middle East.
