I cannot seem to get the formula for this word problem. Blockbuster Video uses Master Card. Master Card charges 2 1/2% on net deposits (credit slips less returns). Blockbuster made a net deposit of 4100 for charge sales. How much did MasterCard charge Blockbuster?

I've heard that by using Western Union, wire transfers of money, guarantee payment to the seller, if you're trying to make a purchase, but you can really get srewed over if it comes to you receiving your merchandise, as they don't really have any disputes, or a process to guarantee shipment.

Is this true and therefore makes using western union as a form of payment instead of paypal/credit cards, a bit unsafe?

Thanks.

The Milwaukee post office sent me a piece of a check and a piece of the envelope back and said it got damaged in handling but they didn't say what happened to the rest of it. It was the upper left hand corner containg my name and drivers license number, and that was the only information on the check. The bank wants $30.00 to cancel payment , which is of course, obsene. Who else has had this happen and how did it turn out.

Suppose you were offer a new job, went through all the testing and interviews (4), mentioned at that interview that you have a paid vacation that is at the end of Nov. and the company tells you that you probably can't take it.

Would you accept the new position, more money, better benefits?
If we cancel the vacation, we will loose much of the money.

Is there a better way to approach the situation?
I offered to work weekends, overtime etc. to make up the time.

Is there a government agency (i.e. county/state) that would do a perk test on a piece of property that I am looking to buy, or is there usually a private business that does that? Or let me just ask....I am looking at buying 40 acres of untouched land for future investment. I am totally new to this. The property may possibly have a homesite built within the next couple years. What all do I need to do in the way of a septic permit, well permit, perk test, etc.... where along the lines would I go to get these items? I want to make sure the property can support a homesite and I want to make sure the property isn't worthless. It is pretty much worthless if it doesn't perk....right?

I have been having problems with packages being delieved. In the past the delivery person (UPS, USPS, Fex-Ex, etc.) has rung the doorbell. Now I notice that the delivery person is not ringing the doorbell and I must keep tabs on my tracking number.

I am irked because I had a package arrive today--my entire family was home and no one rang the doorbell. Not only that, the box was open, but thankfully none of the contents had been stolen. This could have been prevented if someone had just rang or knocked! I have the tracking number and everything--has anyone tried contacting customer service of any of the above and had their situation improve?

I worked for a large Arizona resort for 28 years. My employer charged our guest at the resort ranch 15 % gratuity for the total on their bills. Some guests had check out bill of 10,000.00 or more. The ranch takes in 8 to 10 million dollars per year. The guest that pay this gratuity are told, or are under the impression that the employees recieve this gratuity, so therefore there is NO TIPPING allowed by the guests during their stay. The guest ranch owner does NOT give any of this gratuity to his 100 employees, he banks all the gratuity as his company income. Is this legal in the state of Arizona? Or am I owed a very large check from this gratuity theif along with my fellow employees?
