"What's wrong with using 1234 as a PIN number?"
I asked this question earlier and got some great answers, but I need more....I know someone who uses 1234 as a PIN and I want to show them your answers to hopefully convince them they shouldn't use it. Please help.

Okay, I travel a lot, and I've noticed that the US dollar isn't doing as good as it used to. Does anyone have any idea when the dollar will rebound? Better yet, what will it take for the dollar to rebound? Right now, the pound sterling is kicking our asses.

I went to an evening seminar given by a financial advisor that specializes in financial advice for retirement. I am not in the business field, so how do I know this fellow is on the level? I would like to find an investor to sell 40% of my media production company to, either as a silent partner or as a co-manager, but ideally someone who has a head for sales and a knowledge of media / film / video. Bread-and-butter revenue is service & content provision for film, video & TV, but I would like to concentrate on project development: hence the need for a business partner to handle the other side.

I'm in the UK.

I have a debit card and accidently overcharged it by $50. Unfortunately, the bank will charge me $100 for going over. I went straight to the ATM after I walked from the store (within a half an hour) and deposited some money. However, I'm wondering, do you think the bank would process that charge sooner than they process the deposit, and still fine me? I know sometimes it takes a few days before they process it, but does anyone else know anymore? My bank is HSBC by the way.

I'm looking for advertising budgets of different liquor companies (so I can come up with a median) for doing a feasibility analysis for an advertising agency geared towards the liquor industry. It's quite a difficult one, but if I'm lucky there may be someone on here with the necessary knowledge of UK law and/or business practicalities. I'll try to be brief.

Basically I have barely worked since December for health reasons. I run a limited company with a partner. Because my partner does nothing (and never has) the business has gone somewhat down the tubes since I have been unable to work.

Accounts, admin and bills have not been dealt with and there are bailiffs imminent. I want to continue my company when I get better, and I think it's unfair that my company should lose all of it's assets because (a) I have been ill and (b) my partner is useless.

How do I fend off the bailiffs?
How does the company keep it's assets?
What can I do about my partner (without him being involved)?

Any advice on this or any other advice appreciated!

Sorry it's a big one, but if I told only half the story you wouldn't get it's complexity!

My wife and I are the proud new parents of a beautiful baby girl. We had her Christened this past weekend and many of our relatives have given her gifts for the occasion. Many of these gifts were in the form of a check. We would like to deposit these checks in our savings account until we can decide what we are going to do with them.
