After any natural disaster, news crews capture families searching thru rubble hoping to find just a single priceless photo... I know that every family has the need to save these timeless treasures... So ??? what is the best way to market my photo scanning service my very limited budget?

Our local cable company has started charging for NOT providing certain services. For instance, they are charging customers for NOT renting their cable modems ($3 a month). And they are charging internet customers for NOT using their digital phone services ($5 a month).

There has to be something illegal about this. How can they charge for services they aren't providing? There is no work involved for them.

And if this isn't illegal, can I start charging people for not buying things I sell?

Which one would I use to protect a publication that I am working on? Also, can I protect phrases or words that will specifically identify my publication even if the word or phrase is commonly used in the real world? I haven't hired an attorney yet, I won't get that far for another year or so. For now I am just in the planning stages but I wanted to protect my idea until I have my seed money.
