I am a first time borrower with almost immaculate credit, except 1 problem. Will you read this and let me know if I sound professional and if I covered all of the important points?

well one- you should include a picture of the home your improving since most of your funds are going to this.
Also, you should probably include what you do for a living, your profession, and if your a student. Lenders want to know how will they will get paid back.
If you have friends that can endorse your listing...then do it. Also state that you can verify income with documents if you can. These are all things that will promote your listing.

It looks like you covered the important points. I don't know if it is a good idea to offer to show your bank statements -- or if you do, obliterate your banking numbers. You don't want someone to steal your identity and ruin your credit further.

I question the use of the word "fray" I would use "defray the cost" instead. Also, you might want to mention what you are upgrading your heating system from and what your average temperatures are. If you're heating with electricity, I can see a gas system reducing your heating bill, but a $300 gas bill reduction is pretty significant.
