Electrified Dancer I am not sure where you are located (I looked at your profile and that did not give it away.) Yes you can download MYOB free from their web site. You need to ensure you are on the MYOB site relevant for your country, so it works with your tax system.

I have included both the Australian & the American site below - maybe they are relevant.

MYOB is a software programe through which you create datafiles.

You have unlimited use of the MYOB software program. You however only have 90 days trial to use the data file that you created. You can create the datafile, work on it and convert it to a paid copy, after 90 days.

SNEAKY TIP - change your system date to (e.g.) one year in advance, and then create the data file. I have seen this allow you an extended period with which to use the datafile. The catch here is if you do payroll, you need to pay for the tax tables, every time they change (here in Australia it seems to be every year on the first of July)

Hope that helps ...

myob website - you get 90 days free use before having to purchase - quicken also allows free downloads but has a lesser free use time - just a note on these programmes - they are based on database programmes but i don't know why but they dumb down all the options for reporting, no sort option etc - if you are going to be a world beater write your own database template.
