I know for a fact that a person can write a check on a tshirt or a brown bag or bevnap, etc etc but someone is arguing with me about it. Im trying to find an official site that shows that this is 100% legal. While im sure that most banks wont take a check written on a pepsi bottle or a scrap sheet of paper, by law it is still considered to be a valid check.

The letter also included a check to cover insurance. Needed to deposit it and then call a number. Stated it would be delivered Fed Ex.

I have a bunch of coins from Mexico that I would like to cash in for US currency. I also had Brazilian paper money that I was able to cash in at my bank, however, they said they couldn't take the coins.

Is there somewhere, besides a bank, that will exchange the coins for me?

Im in trouble with the missus because we are leaving next friday to the USA. Does anyone know where to get the best exchange rate for dollars from £? Ive tried to search the net but seems no where that actually compares current bank rates. Im aware of Nationwide being charge free withdrawals in the USA but im with Lloyds who charge 2% on withdrawals. So where should i go to get some cash ready now to take away with me? Lloyds is about 1.75 but im sure i can get better!

I was in line and the register quit working for the person in front of me. I only had 4 items and the clerk just walked to another register and didn't care that I was waiting in her lane.
