you can go with usps they have "flat rate" priority boxes and you can put as much as you can in them as long as you can close the box and it is one flat price. I dont remember what the price is but it's not more than 5 buck.. so it depends on what you are sending but if it is heavier you may want to use usps flat rate priority mail.

cheapest is usps. But the best option would be UPS, they so much better then the post office in terms of dealing with when something goes wrong. You can get boxs for free if you ship 2nd day or next day. Post office offers the same.
Check out the sites. www.usps.com www.ups.com
I have been working in the shipping business for 20 years.

USPS will definitely be cheaper. UPS is WAY too expensive. You can schedule a FREE pick-up from your home with USPS (http://www.usps.com/pickup/welcome.htm?from=home&page=schedulepickup), but you have to purchase your own packing supplies (Postal stamps, etc.). Actually, you can bid on packing supplies on eBay! The place that I would get the little boxes for your cell-phones are eBay, although you probably don't have enough time to wait for the boxes to arrive, so I would just go to USPS for the time being and get the boxes. I hope this helps you out!

I work for the Post Office and can tell you that right now due to the competition...we are the best value or, your way of stating it, the cheapest. Now, as for the boxes I'd try an office supply store like Office Depot or Staples or even Walgreens and Longs Drugs...they have cheaper mailing supplies than USPS or UPS stores....good luck and makes lot's of cash on E-bay... ;)...oh yeah, the Post Office even has free pick up service...go to USPS.gov for details.... :)

U.S. Postal Service is significantly cheaper than UPS or FEDEX, etc. and almost bulletproof reliable. I've shipped THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of packages postal service all over the world for the past 33 years and they've only lost 2.
The secret is to package it properly -- no loose ends to get caught in machines, etc. -- and address it clearly. As for packaging materials, Associated Bag Co. , Milwaukee, WI., but with warehouses in other parts of the country, 1-800-926-6100, is about as reasonable as anywhere and gets the stuff to you in 1 or 2 days!
