Im in trouble with the missus because we are leaving next friday to the USA. Does anyone know where to get the best exchange rate for dollars from £? Ive tried to search the net but seems no where that actually compares current bank rates. Im aware of Nationwide being charge free withdrawals in the USA but im with Lloyds who charge 2% on withdrawals. So where should i go to get some cash ready now to take away with me? Lloyds is about 1.75 but im sure i can get better!

There is Currency Exchange in Melton Mowbray based at Going Places in the Market place. Know you don't live to far from Melton. I recently went there for my holiday money for Vegas and got a really good exchange rate, commission free. If you pay £3 you can also exchange it back again at the rate you got originally. I got 1.80 dollars per £ which was very good. Would reccommend this place in your local area!!
