I have a 17 year old disabled child, Dane. He will be semi-independent as an adult - assisted living, sheltered employment. For my other two children, I've created Coverdell education accounts for college expenses. I'd like to create an investment account for Dane as well, but he will not likely need educational benefits. He said that he might go to a cooking school, but then again, maybe not. I'd like to maintain control of the account but yet have him on the account as well. The funds don't need to be immediately accessible - I want to save for future expenses that we don't know about now. Any ideas?

What does a warrant grant the right to buy/sell? Especially when a warrant is based on a broad market index, currency index, or domestic equity index, rather than a specific stock or bond?

I think a stock is (maybe) due for a nice rebound and I want to own some shares. The stock is selling now for $27. I sell a put one month out at $25, and buy a couple of calls two months out at $30. If the price goes down, I'll have 100 shares put to me at a bargain price. If the price goes above $30, I can buy shares at below market value at time of exercise and keep the put $. Does this option combination have a name? And is it a sensible strategy assuming I'm bullish? I'm an options novice, so I would appreciate any serious replies.

How can I get the most out of the money I put in to her savings account? I'm worried that she will have to struggle like I am right now. I don't want her to be rich but I do want her to be comfortable thoughout her life. Are CD's the best thing or is there anything else I can get her more money then I put in. I don't want to play the stock market! I have life insurance for her and she does have some money in her account. The way the world is going right now I'm afraid she will be struggling more so then I am right now.

I bought a stock and made a profit and took a loss on a call and put option for the stock. If I buy the stock and different put and call option strike prices within 30 days, is it considered a wash for my options losses for tax purposes?

My brother is a new broker for a wall street firm. I know that stock brokers drive BMW's, but I don't know what shoe they wear. I've heard that the round toe Bostonians are typical, but I don't know. What shoes are the ones understood to be the most appropriate for show at work.

Please provide a link in your answer to the shoe you suggest, and explain why you think this is the most appropriate style.
