I am Rajan & i am looking for investment for short-term or medium-term, which will give me max return. Please suggest me best plan.

Short term, money market fund.
Medium term, a broadly diversified portfolio that includes broad market stock index funds (foreign and domestic), a bond market index fund, a international bond market fund, and a gold ETF like CEF.

Why do you differentiate between short and medium term? Isn't your objective to make money? Or are you willing to lose money in the medium term if you can make some in the short term? Or vice versa? I have never understood this way of thinking...D

Short term- online high yield money market account and high yield CDs.
Long term- low cost mutual funds and index funds.
