my question is what are the fees for ameritrade . i know that they charge $10 for each trade . are there any other fees like SEC fees or mantanice fee and how much money do i need to open an account in ameritrade. thank u

Scott trade charges $7 per trade with no fees and no minimums - just need $500 to open.

I know this doesn't answer your ameritrade question, but I can't understand why anyone would pay more for commissions.
