I am currently renting a home in Canada. Our landlord has asked to come and measure each of the rooms for the purpose of "house insurance". The house was for sale for a year almost a year ago but the offers were nowhere near what the owner wanted. Do homeowners need the room measurements for insurance or is my recently rented home for sale?

I got my finger caught in a press. I ended up losing the tip. Thaey had to do a V-Y for my repair. They where able to recover most of my length by foving fat around. I will be permanently dis figured. And my workers comp officer says they only have to pay for my medical.
I have missed close to 40 hrs of work due to this and am now back with light duty.
I'm curious what my rights are as an employee in the state of Colorado.
As now I am falling behind on my bills with all my operations and missed time due to all my doctors appointments.

I have a friend who was in an ATV accident a few years ago. At the time of his accident, he busted up his arms pretty bad and had to be Mercy-flighted to Buffalo NY. He did not have health insurance at the time of his accident so he is stuck with almost $70,000 worth of hospital bills!

Isn't there any assistance or anything he can get?

Bill and Anne have two young children, ages 2 and 4, and they are not currently covered under any life insurance policy. Anne is a full-time mom and brings in zero income. Bill currently makes around $45,000 a year. They are just barely able to make their monthly payments on all of their stuff, so getting life insurance coverage does not seem like a pressing issue at this time. What would you suggest they do?"

What is the best dog insurance to have these days.
My older dog has always been with petplan.
I now have an 11 week old puppy & she will cost more per month than my 7 year old.
The puppy currently has 6 free weeks with the kennel club, the premiums will be a lot less than petplan.
Please bear in mind any long trem problems that may arise.
The supermarket ones are cheap but dont work out long term if problems do arise.

My daughter born in hospital was premature required to stay in the hospital for 20 days. Her claim of hospital stay denied saying that I did not call BCBS's medical management number in 48 hours. I did call number provided at back of the card same day my daughter born and they did not inform me about this medical management procedure. I am sure hospital must have also informed BCBS. My wife's claim during hospital stay are approved but my daughter's claim denied. Bill of my daughter's claim is more than 80,000$ out of that 74000 they paid and denied remaining. everytime I called them their representative told me that it's approved and shouldn't be a problem. but I recently got a letter that it's not approved. I did send grievance letter in writing but they did not approve. I am paying 700 $/month for so long time to BCBS. Do I have any chance to get this approved? if so, what procedure should I follow? please help.

Within the next 3 months I will be moving out of my parents house. I'm 18 and I need to know what I can do to save money and such. Would I qualify for food stamps? Would I get any other benifits for being out on my own at age 18?

Also, once I move I will not be under my folks health care plan anymore, but I desprately need this because I take medication. Is there any cheap health insurance for teens or is there a way I can get my medications for cheap without it?

Any other tips you have would be most appreciated.

My OB/GYN sent me a bill after our son was delivered for "out-of-network" charges. All along we thought he was in our network and he never told me otherwise. We later found out he dropped our network a month before delivery. I'm being hounded by a collections agency, but I don't think I should pay. State laws don't help since our health plan is "ERISA," or a national health plan. To make matters worse, my doctor has quit the business and is no longer a practicing physician. Can I still sue him in the small claims court to stop him from charging me?

Hello and thanks in advance.
I currently have medical insurance thru my husband's company. I just started a new job and they offer free medical insurance to their employees (not their family or spouses).
My husband's plan does not cover anything preventive ie. Well Woman/Ob/GYN/Annual exams. However the rest of the policy is excellent!
So I didn't think twice about signing up for the new policy because they do cover the preventive. The new company even asks if you are going to keep an existing policy.

So in a month I will have two current policies.

My question, is how does this work? Do the two companys split my medical costs?

Is there a website or someone who can tell me what to expect?

My store was destroyed by fire as a result of a fire that started in another tenant's unit. I did not have insurance but the other tenant did. The fire department's and the building's insurance carriers investigators report indicated that they believed the fire started in the other tenant's unit. I sent a certified letter of claim for damages to the business owner as well as the building owner but received no response. What are moy options. My loss was in excess of $200,000. I had a retail computer store.

There was a flood at my apartment this past weekend. I had to stay in hotels. I called my insurance and they said that they would not cover the stay, and since the flood was caused by faulty work by the plumber the landlord hired that it should go through the landlady's insurance. I told them this. She agreed to pay for 1/2 of my hotel bill. Now she's asking for my insurance policy number...can I refuse to give it to her??

Has anyone else had this experience?

My 10 yro daughter had 8 teeth removed at the oral surgeon's last month. This was a necessity as there simply is not enough room for all of her teeth. Of those 8 teeth, 4 were baby teeth and 4 were adult, one of which was bony-impacted and required surgery.

Because we are "out of network" the oral surgeon required us to pay up front for his services, so we paid $1,700, $450 of which was for general anesthesia.

Imagine our shock and disgust when we learned that Cigna will not cover general anesthesia for oral surgery unless there are TWO bony-impacted teeth or more to be removed! The surgeon's office has appealed to the medical portion of our plan as well as urging and RE-URGING Cigna to reconsider, but they're firm and they've denied the claim twice. These retards actually see no reason why a 10 year old child would need general anesthesia while surgery is being performed in her mouth!

We were having some building work done and in the process discovered that our drain run did not comply with building regs.
I phoned our Insurance Company to ask if we were covered.
They did not reply but after a week sent us a claim form.
We told them that we were only enquiring and did not need the form but they have informed us that this is a claim and now on our records
We are now unable to change our insurance company for five years without divulging the claim which does not exist.. What kind of scam is this!!??

I've had my insuance through my employer from october of '06. Money has been taken out of every paycheck to pay for the premium. I recently had an accident that required surgery and hospital stay in late feb. I have received three explanation of benefits from the insurance provider so far: 1.) for my ambulance ride which was covered. 2.) The first couple days with services shown as "Inpatient" and "Ancillary" which was covered. 3.) and a third peice of paper for the remainder of my stay for "SNFINPT" and "SNFANCIL" as the services provided but the third peice of paper states that I may be responsible for the bill because my membership was terminated prior to the date of service.

I never received or heard anything from my employer or my insurance provider about my coverage being cancelled but my paycheck shows money being taken out for the premium up until the time of the injury. What rights do I have so I'm not stuck with this ridiculous bill? Any help would be great!
