United HealthCare has many different plans that include deductibles. Some are "up-front", and some are just for hospital services. It is impossible for anyone here to tell you when you deductible is satisfied without looking at a benefit description or summary. Consult your HR department/benefits administrator, or call the phone number on the back of your card.

It depends on what the deductible pertains to. Some deductibles are for all medical coverage, some are for hospital stays only, some are for labs and x=rays, some are for anything done beyond a doctor's exam. You need to know exactly what your deductible applies to before you know what can satisfy it. Call member services (the number is on your card) and ask what about your specific plan if you need to.
