I understand a little about how AD&D works (for example, if you lose a leg you get x% of your benefit), but who is it for? If I have Life and Medical Insurance, am a white collar worker, and do not engage in dangerous hobbies, why would I need it? By the same token, why not get AD&D instead of Life insurance (since the AD&D plan I looked at had a death benefit)? AD&D seems like a waste of money (of course I've just jinxed myself). Can someone please enlighten me?...

Took several pieces of jewellery to a shop to be valued and they want £37 for the first piece and £15 for all others. When I questioned the price I was asked is it for Insurance purposes? Is this a bit of a rip off do you think? Should I be going to a high street store instead such as Samuels? If I wanted to sell the pieces would it be cheaper?

Im under the impression that if you get Term Life, and lets say you die at 12:01 a.m., the day that you need to renew your policy, then your screwed because the term of the policy is already over. You see what Im saying?
Now with Whole Life, it seems like the best way to go because you can die at anytime and you'll be covered.
Please offer your imput, thanks.

I just ordered contacts from them for the first time. They asked for my doctors name so I gave them the name of the doctor who gave me the prescription. I just started my insurance with Kaiser and don't want to go through the hassle of an eye exam since my contact prescription has been steady for the last 8 years. So here is my follow up question...The doctors name I gave them was from my previous Health plan so will the doctor give out that information? Or verify my insurance information is still valid before giving out my prescription?
Thank you!!
