For the person who was kind enough to respond my question regarding RSD. The Workers Compensation Law has been updated and now if you haveRSD level 2 they quilify that as disability. That is not my problem in my case. The problem is that my doctor who has been excellent does not want to accept my private insuracne he wants the Workers Compensation to pay.
This is as a result of complication with the accounting dept. since my private insurance feels that I have an open case therefore they are not the one to pay for my treatment. I am really stock!

My partner and I need to re-look at our life policies and have a will drawn up (we are not married).

We have a house together with a joint mortgage and we each have two children from our previous relationships.

What we want to do is leave money to each other to clear down the mortgage and also to leave monies to our own individual children in the event of our death.

What I want to know, can one policy be split? ie, if there was one £300k insurance policy on my life, in my Will can I leave £100k to each of my kids and the other £100k to my partner?

I want to sort the policies out before going to the solicitor to get the wills drawn up so any advice appreciated!

I am married at age 20 and husband is same age. I want to get a life insurance policy because we are expecting a little girl in April. With funeral costs, possible public 4 college (for her and maybe possibly more children later), and any expected bills that should come of one of our deaths, how much should I take out on each of us? I can't afford a lot right now but I want enough to cover the funeral, and some to help with college, for sure. So what would you suggest. I figured $10,000 for funeral costs (on each of us) and around an extra $8,000 for other expensis. I know this is a personal decision but I need some ideas, this is new to me and my husband has kind of left it up to me. Any ideas to throw out there?

As a foreign student visiting US, America's
insurance and health care system seems ridiculous complicated for me.

Especilaly I'm confused with some cases when doctor and clinic
are not in the same "network", one is in-network, one is out-network.

If I visited a doctor whose name I found from insurance
company website, then the doctor is in-network,
but the clinic he/she works is out-network.

Then I was charged extra fee of the clinic which will not
be covered by insurance company (docotor'serive was reimbursed
by insurance).

In the other case, I found an in-network clinic or hosiptal,
but as the clinic, I was treated by a doctor whose
name couldn't be found on insurance company' website,
so the doctor is out-network. His service could not be covered
by insurance company.

Are these two experience reasonable and possible ?

So I want to get a full insurance coverage,
do I have to be treated by an in-network doctor,
at an in-network clinic/hosiptal ?

there is a trucking company with a million dollar liability policy, and a car makes an illegal u-turn in front of this trucking company's truck. the trucking company and the driver are decided to 100% not at fault, but a lawsuit is filed against the trucking company regaurdless.

the lawsuit goes to mediation and it is decided that the lawyers and families of those killed will recieve the one million dollar insurance policy.

can the trucking company expect their insurance rates to go up, or possibly even be cancelled, even though it was decided that the accident wasn't the trucking company, or the driver's fault?

Has anyone had bad experience with this plan?

I paid three months online, printed out the paid invoice and the reference paid number. That was back at the first of October. NOW they tell me I'm not covered, that they never received the payment. Last Friday, I faxed them the bank statement showing it deducted from my account and where it went.

NOW they tell me it only got to the accountants MONDAY, and they have two to three business days to review. THEIR idea of two to three business days is this next Friday!

I have filed a complaint with the state insurance board. I have a strong feeling that this is part of their business plan, to deny, deny, deny, just to frustrate people into paying their bills, even though I have paid over six thousand dollars to this company, and all I want is the prescription that will cost them $34.

The "representative" told me I had done everything right, yet it will be a week to get this resolved.

My dental office assured me my insurance would take care of most of the cost for a tooth removal procedure. I payed the premium and went on my way but a month later the dental office called me saying the insurance didn't cover anything and I have to pay the remainder. What should I tell them? What would you tell them?

I want to make my son the primary benificiary to my life insurance policy, but what if I died when he was only 4 years old? If my sons father (my ex husband) got custody of my son and my son was the only benificiary would my ex husband have access to that money? I want part of that money to be used for my funeral and burial, if my son was only 4 how would he be able to use that money for my funeral, who would have legal rights to say what the money is used for?
I have talked with my insurance company and they said I cannot assign an executor of estate? I live in California and they said if there was no legal guardianship of my son when I die they money is held until my son is a certain age??? Then the money would not be allowed to be used for my funeral???
What is the best thing to do in order to make sure that I have a burial and that my son has money to survive without my ex-husband having access to it? If he got control of that money my son would never see it.

My roommate's mom just took a life insurance policy out on her. She has to get a physical for it, which is standard, but they are sending someone over to our house to take blood and collect samples from our home. Is that standard? I have never heard of such a thing and think it's a bit creepy.
