My company lowered are insurance benifits. Can I buy my own insurance if I find a better deal?

i bet you will find to get insurance yourself, it will be way more expensive then staying with your employers insurance. they pay group rates and have to take anyone regardless of health issues where getting it on your own being its only you, will pay more for it and they can turn you down if you have any health issues or even if your just overweight. i have been there and done that.

Yes. You may be able to negotiate higher pay for opting out of the employee sponsored plan. However they may not want to play. Supplemental insurance may be wise. Check with agent.
