I work for a American logistics company but based in asia, my team had a meeting a couple of days ago and I find it ridiculous that my superior, who is a woman, just decided to announce to change the meeting from 5.30 pm to 8 am just because a few of my team members who often late due to frequent phone calls from shippers and carriers, and she can't stand it and my team members just kept quiet because she is not a bearable character. I cannot accept that she just change it due to this issue when the reason they are late because they are helping the company making money. How can I present it effectively so that she can revert the time back to original??I had discovered that I should address this issue during my last meeting but i didn't. Hope to have some good tips from negotiation's veterans as this is my first permanent job and I still under probation period. It doesn't matter whether she will really change it or not but at least i should try.

It seems to me that the Royal Mail is in a similar position to British Telecom in the early 1980s - in need of massive investment to modernize its outdated equipment, which is unlikely to be financed by the Government.

Why not privatize it so that it can modernize, become more efficient (and better able to withstand competition) and less prone to official and unofficial strike action (as nearly all strikes in the UK these day occur in the public sector)?
