Does anyone know who does same day letter delivery on a saturday cheaper than Royal Mail?

royal mail doesnt do same day delivery, you would have to go to a courier service

No - Royal Mail is 'cheapest' because there is no guarantee they will actually achieve the 'promised' delivery time ...
