I have a contract with franking machine company, it's gone 2 years and 2 months. they say i have to cancel it on 3 months before the anivesary of the contract. how do you get out and can they do this. many thanks and kind regards.

Unions seem to me to be the biggest business of all. They take your money, have no real overhead and protect the lazy workers who make big mistakes and don't care if they are a benefit to the company they work for. What do they really do besides get rich off blue collar people? I think they just rob the very people they are supposed to protect from the so called "EVIL"Corporations. I say "Thank you" to the big corporations. Without them I would be looking for work. Why do people care how much money a corporation makes? The more money they make the more likely I will be to retain my job. So "I WANT" to work for people who make lots of money.Shouldn't we all?

I work at a corporation. I applied for a position, and haven't been granted an interview yet. I read a circulated email that stated they were planning on bringing on a new employee soon to fill this role. It is legal for my company to hire a new employee and not grant me an interview for this position even after i sent a posting to human resources?

I'm sure they'd all prefer to sell you drugs that work and aren't harmful, but they're in business to make a profit, and they make huge profits, a lot of which they invest in advertising theird drugs to get more people to buy them. They will try to convince you to buy whatever products they make, whether they work or not. Drug companies should not be trusted - they are not trying to help you, they are trying to make money.

Here In MN we only have one main hooters estaraunt, maybe 2 in the Twin city's But now with the growth of Rochester, MN in the SE corner of the state, and the growth of the U of M coming to Rochester to work with higher education with Medical with Mayo Clinic, to grow, and all the College kids and farm boys nearby, What do you think Will Hooters Restaraunt and the Girls there be successful here in Rochester, or not? I'll make this short, was job hunting for better pay,more hrs. First interview, was hired by "XYZ"but have to work sat(which I dislike)but accepted offer, gone to more interviews to find the "right"one for me, day before I was to start @XYZ,I called to decline offer (bec. of sat.hours)and also had lots of interviews lined up, 2-3 weeks later, declined 2 more offers and decided to go with XYZ again, (husband&wife medical practice)I called to ask if they found someone, so I was to start there 2weeks, When I resigned, I resolved issues w/current employer and decided "happily"to stay.So for 2nd time, I called to cancel the job, they were furious,wife called me at my work and was screaming her head off, saying Im unprofessional, that they let someone go bec.of me, That she will contact my employer and tell them what I have done!!So do they have right to contact my employer, I feel bad for doing that to them, tried to explain but she wouldnt hear of it./Is it their right to call my boss?

Starbucks would have to hire workers and

I saw a fax machine for $53 on June 14, 1:43 am for sale. I told my friend about it when I was visiting him next day. He gave me a check for it asking me to buy it for him since he did not have a computer. When I came home th price was up $40. Amazon.com price seems to change rapidly, why? I recently graduated from college with a biology degree and will begin nursing school in the fall. For the past year during my semester breaks, I have worked for a home healthcare company as an office assistant and homemaker/companion for clients. Recently one of the RN's sons has begun working at the company and since then I noticed some changes. My boss no longer trusts me and seems to be turning the office employees against me. Everything I do is a problem. For example, my handwritting is suddenly an issue. When anything is missing, I get blamed. If I write a personal email, I am scolded for wasting time, while my fellow employees sometimes talk on AIM or send text messages. There suddenly is a desperate attempt to know where I am and what I am doing at all times if I leave to visit clients. I hold one of the highest educational degrees in the company, yet I have not received a raise and am paid one of the lowest salaries. The question is should I quit?
