I have a contract with franking machine company, it's gone 2 years and 2 months. they say i have to cancel it on 3 months before the anivesary of the contract. how do you get out and can they do this. many thanks and kind regards.

I assume annual - so if the anniversary was 2 months ago, this puts it in April (poss. 5th ?)..

If you have to give 3 months notice, you can inform them anytime prior to Jan (I would send them registered post 1st week December & phone them to confirm mid Dec.).

If you want to cancel at any other time, read the Contract.
I would guess you have to pay a penalty (most likely == the rest of the year to run).

In future, don't sign Contracts you don't understand. If you are unwilling (or unable) to learn, hire some-one to do it for you.
