I work in a telesales environment selling an online credit checking system. I have all the closes under the sun for creating urgency in getting the buyer to buy NOW with discounts, but is there any way to get a YES now with out the cliche line of "i have to think about it" ?
Everything is explained to the buyer perfectly, so they don't need to think about any thing as we do it all for them, but is there a winning line that works to get them onboard today? rather than letting it go "cold" if they have to have a few days to think about it - no discounts.

This is my first time working as a retail sales associate. They say they will pay me $7.75 per hour, I have an associates degree. This seems really low to me. Considering the fact that most jobs here in Chicago pay like at least $8 per hour.

I know LEGALLY minimum wage is now $7.50 per hour in Chicago, but considering my education and the fact that I do have customer service, cash handling, and retail inventory experience am I being cheated here?

I've been asked to write a letter summarizing my skills for a position I have applied for. The request should address several topics and is intended to to lay out a foundation as to why I think I would be successful. The position is in the insurance field.
My question is what type of format I should use and how indepth should I go.

From what I understand so far, i would take a pre-licensing course, then take the license exam, then go to work for a company (like century21)....doing what, i'm not sure....and then...? Can anyone in this business help me out or tell me where i need to be looking? I live in TN if that makes a diffirence.

I work in a very competitive sales environment and I am the youngest female and blonde. One of my co-workers who is unattractive and bossy turned on me for no reason and has now stolen a big account from me. Our boss will allow this because she is a BIG producer and a veteran salesperson. He tries to trivialize the matter and says the deal will never close. I know for sure it is closing and the payoff is big.Our boss will not confront her bc she always throws her toys and get her way. This is so wrong. If I make a fuss over it, I will never get leads. What to do???

It's no secret that CD sales have been decreasing as a result of internet piracy and legitimate downloads of people wanting only the hits and not the rest of the tracks. What would you do if you were in marketing for a music company?
