How do I get on the list for headhunters in my area to find me for marketing jobs? Do I go to certain websites and post my resume? How do I do it?

You can start by searching "employment agency" or headhunter + city (or zip code) in your browser and find companies which are local to you. Go to their websites - they all have online application capabilities, and upload your resume. You can follow up with a phone call after a week to ensure they received it and see if they want to schedule an interview.

I would also recommend, since these agencies will be local to you, that you also GO IN PERSON, dressed for an interview, with copies of your resume. This way you might have a better chance of speaking with, and impressing, a recruiter who can put you on a faster track for employment.

Best of luck to you.

You can sign up for Monster.com or Hotjobs.com and post your resume. Both will send you weekly updates and I've had some emails from potential employers.
