I want to reach consumers who are shopping at the mall or a store. I have seen people distributing sales pamphlets or putting them on the cars. How do I find these people and how much do they charge?

I am looking for ways to introduce my business to twenty-and-thirty somethings, and could use some practical advice. I was sought out by this gentleman and he offered me a fantastic job where I can work from home doing advertising. (which is my background, marketing and sales).. He has asked me to ramp up a sales team and I will make a portion of their commission (perfectly normal)... Now all of a sudden his offer has changed pretty much, hes only offering me 10% commission (which I find insulting) and no travel expenses. This is a brand new, full color magazine and I understand they don't have much money, but I will be making it for them through national advertising campaigns. Anyway my question is how can I renegotiate my commission base without him just saying forget it. I really want this job, but there is NO way I can work for 10% and no salary. What would you do? Help...lol

The best response gets an easy 10 points. I'm looking into a new job at Best Buy, what should I list under Circuit City on my resume.

I already have bulleted:

• Provided exceptional customer service in a fast-paced sales environment.

My resume is only half full and since Circuit City and Best Buy are similar I would like to list impressive statements under work experience at Circuit City.

*I was a sales associate.

After working in the restaurant business fulltime for over 20 years in all capacities (dish-GM), I decided to take a break, travel, and go back to school to get my B.A. degree in Professional Studies with a focus on International Studies and Communication. I graduate in December and am wondering how I should go about marketing my new degree with my work experience. I still do catering and have my own personal training business. Any HR feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and feedback. -Koa

What would a entry level sales and marketing job consist of? How much money could be made? I have 4 job offers in a bigger city about 100 miles from where I live now. Any info would be appreciated. From what I've researched these firms or groups have a lot of pro sports, restaraunt, and hotel clients.

I am recently unemployed with 25 years of administrative, marketing and sales experience. A little over a year ago, I recently earned my real estate license. I attempted to sell real estate while holding down my full time job. (I had to pay the bills!) But, I went into the red almost immediately with desk fees, etc. I need more training in order to sell real estate. I don't want to throw any more money away, if there is no future for me in selling real estate. I need to work for 20 more years. I'm wondering if we are in a time when real estate agents are going to be phased out? I have changed companies and put my license in referral. I believe it will cost me another $250.00 to take a two week course to get going again. I need some advice.

hi everyone, i have not worked for a few years due to personal family problems etc, a month ago i got a new fulltime job in a supermarket.
at my interview they asked me if i could work saturdays, i told them no as i have prior long term commitments, they said thats fine.
i noticed that on my contract they had put me in from 9 to 6 on saturdays, i went to my superviser and told him, he told me to go and talk to my other supervisor who would sort it out for me.
the second supervisor told me i could work on my day off (tuesday) and take saturdays off, that way i would still be working the 39 hours per week, i asked him if i needed to tell anyone else apart from him about this, he said no he would sort it all out.
anyway, last firday i was called into my managers office, he wanted me to explain the unatharized absences i had taken (saturdays), i told him what my supervisor had told me, manager told me he shouldnt have told me that would be ok, now i have to wait til the end of next week as just after talking to me my supervisor took 2 weeks off work, manager wants to talk to him, then i have to have disiplinary action and they said they might not even pay me as i didnt work my contract even though i worked my days off.
what do i do now? manager said it doesnt look good for me as im a new starter, i have been looking for a new job, but the way i see it im getting in trouble for doing what my supervisor told me was ok??
