Hi, there I am a 26 yr old female who has 2 semesters of business mgmt/Human Resources under my belt. Unfortunately I am starting to think this job is not the right choice. I am considering all of the careers listed above.I am a very down to earth, sensitive, creative, helpful type (I am a cancer if that helps.)I want to find the right field to fit my personality so that i will enjoy what I do. I love designing things such as flyers, using programs such as powerpoint, and in general just talking with people and brainstorming new ideas. Which of these careers is in the most demand or pays the best?Which one would fit my personality the most? (Please keep in mind I don't want to work 70 hrs a week either.)If possible I would also like something I could do from home if need be. Any input would be much appreciated, thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so last year I applied to be an RA thinking that I was a shoe-in, but I didnt get the job and was really upset. I heard through the grapevine that my name was brought up about possible RA's for next year, but apparently the word is that I will not be a very good disciplinarian. I am very upset by this. Should I apply any way and try to prove them wrong, or should I just forget about it.

Employee has problem with manager and wants to know how to handle situation and meets with store manager. Store manager turns it around and talks over employee and won't listen and says he doesn't hear a problem. When employee can see he is wasting his time, he is going to leave and store manager demands he sit down and he's being subordinate and if he goes out door he's fired. Employee is being treated as if he was in school instead of at a job. Being treated as though he has no rights to walk out the door. Employee hasn't ever raised voice or said anything other then refusing to tell all the things manager has said or done to employee to avoid risk of additional trouble from whom employee is already having bullying harrassment from. Especially since store manager doesn't want to acknowledge it and is protecting the other manager.

When a collection agency (which serves as the "middle man" between a client and customer) arranges a payment plan for a customer of a credit card company, does it (the agency) make a profit from the payments received which are supposed to go directly to its client (the credit card company)?

Am I going to be dealing with a lot of maintenance issues and people not paying rent? Or is it a good investment that could provide me with a lot of cash flow for the rest of my life. My idea is to start slowly buying properties one by one and renting them out with positive cash flow and give years for the properties to appreciate as well.

I am single, in my early 20s & have no commitments. I am currently employed with a 9 to 5 job on a 5 day week. I like this job and the pay is adequate although I could do with extra income to spend during the weekends. I have been offered a part time job (2 hrs Mon-Fri 8 to 10 pm for a Asian company) doing accounts work & strongly felt that this job will not interfere with my day job. More importantly, the pay is good. However, my full time employer during the interview clearly informed me (verbally) that I am not allowed to take in any other job without his permission. Two questions on my mind right now:
Is it fair for the full time employer to impose such a condition ?
With unemployment problem facing my country, my conscience tells me that I am lucky to have a full time job & shouldn’t be greedy taking in another job. Let some unemployed guy take the job. Do you think I should accept this job ?

started with a company approx 18 months ago as a sales rep. since starting i've found out that all my office calls are recorded "for training purposes" also think my e-mails are filtered as simple ones to home saying hi etc.. take hours to arrive? i have to divert my mobile when in the office to the main line (so they are also recorded) and my boss has just told me that they are fitting trackers to all the company vehicles so they know where we are at any given time?

i'm in a job where i'm expected to be trusted but feel like i constantly being checked on?

not doing anything wrong but not happy about the big brother approach.

should i stay or go and if i go what should i tell them my reasons are? at the end of the day it's their company and their cars / staff to check on so they can do what they want... just not happy about it.

what would you do

Well, it’s actually a dilemma to work or not to work. I’ve been given the opportunity to stay home and take care of my ailing child. That means just enough income to pay the bills and constant worry about my child and money. However, if I stay at work, then have to worry about making enough money to pay for all my bills and for daycare ($1000 per month). Then I have to worry that the daycare is providing my child with adequate care. If I stay home with my child, then I have to worry if being with me all the time is enough socialization or if maybe she needs interaction with kids her own age. I’ve never been in this type of situation before and I’m looking for some advice on which would be the better way to go.

I am the supervisor of about 7 employees all between the ages of 18-22. I have developed close relationships with most of them, but when I reprimand them on their work they tend to take it personal and "ignore" me. We talk about it and everything is fine until it happens again. It is a vicious cycle. How do I handle these situations in the future?

I work as a part-time employee for a global company who has very strict policy regarding the beneficial differences between part-time and full-time employees. For the past six weeks, I've averaged over 38 hours a week and with the holiday season approaching, that number is sure to increase. The standard hours that I am supposed to work is 30 hours a week as a part-time employee according to company policy. I live in Florida and would like to know if I have any legal right to request having my employment status changed from part-time to full-time so that I can reap the additional benefits that all full-time employees get (smaller cost for benefits, paid FMLA and short-term disability, etc.).

I went on an interview and I already have a heads up that I will get the job. I know the head of the HR dept and she told me that I would basically get it. The job, pay and benefits are what I've been looking for for a long time. I only have one question, when the HR rep calls and offers me the job should I accept it right away or tell them to give me a day to think about? I'm asking because I heard that you should never accept a job right away. But in this situation it seems that it would be ok to accept it at the time she calls. What do you think?
