It is always appropriate to send a follow up letter to the manager.

As far as all interviewers involved-- that depends, I personally feel it is optional to send a thank you to every interviewer in the panel, however here is where it can be a strategic advantage.

1. People like to be remembered, even if in a crowd.
2. People that may have liked or disliked your answers may be moved to be more supportive by such a gesture.
3. Not enough people remember to thank people for their time in an interview, not even the manager, much less the other interviewers.

Soooo if you are looking to write a follow up thank you to all interviewers, I recommend:

* Each note be a brief an personal thank you to the interviewer.
* Each note highlighting what you heard, and reselling what you offer based upon what you heard.
* Thanking them for their time and consideration.

Hope this helps. Good luck and wishing you every success in your future!

I believe that in an interview, it's better to be more thorough than less. If you have one specific manager that is in charge of the hiring, then the follow-up letter should go to that person and then send a note or a thank you card to every other person who was part of the interview process.

The manager will be asking the other interviewers for opinions, so it can't hurt to be on their good side.
