We are doing everything we can to avoid it but in case we have to in the next few month (husband is self emplyed, I make about 2k/month and we have 2 small kids), what are the downfalls? I know about the 7 years on the report but what if we own a house and cars? I don't plan on getting another credit card for a while.
We got in trouble in the first place by financing my husbands business with CCards and have now too many debts to repay.
Any insights woule be appreciated along with experiences.
Thanks

My husband is in the Navy so I am going to be moving every 3 years. What job would be the easiest to find every time I move. I currently have a Bachelors in Information Systems and I am in New Orleans and cannot seem to get a job. I am really worried about not having a stable job. I am thinking about going back to school to be a Nurse. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

What is considered normal "wear and tear" in an apartment? You are entitled to receive your security deposit unless damages beyond normal wear and tear occur. Are there any laws stating what normal wear and tear is?

I need some serious advice. I don't want to end up in trouble with the mortgage. we have a option loan.(intrest/payment) w/ a variable rate and the 2nd is kicking our butts. It wouldn't be so bad if our 2nd wouldn't flucuate. what i need to decide is if we should refinance again. we have no fixed available right now, and if we do this our mort. will go up 800 dollars Take in mind the paym't goes up because we are going to add the car loan to it. but what other options do we have. Our house is NO in jepardy at all. The only problem is that we are only paying a fraction of the interest this way. and thats not cool at all. Help me not be stressed.

Also, would it be easier for the existing tenant (in good standing) to get a mortgage on the unit than if he decided to look elsewhere for a condo?

I had previously been sued by a credit card company and I paid off the majority of the balance. I was unable to work for over 2 years after a serious injury and when I was not working I was unable to pay. Now they are saying that I owe them 3 times the balance on my account and have placed a lien on my checking account for twice what they are saying the balance is. In the state of IL is it legal to do this?? I have just started back to work and offered to make a payment arrangement until I can do better. They will only accept full payment is what they told me. Would it be better to file bankruptcy or to just go ahead and pay ?? If so who do I pay the bank or the creditor? I do have other bills that will also need to be paid and I dont have much money to work with.

I have worked for a hospital in California for 3 years and I have 8 years of experience in my field. I just learned that new employees with less experience are being hired on for more pay than employees who have been with the hospital several years with more experience. We both do nearly the same job (the old employees have to take the time to train the newbies) and some of the old employees actually hold a higher position (team leading, supervising) and still get paid less than a new grad. My fellow employees and I are really upset and are trying to figure out how to best handle this. Does anyone know if this is illegal? How would you approach it? I cant quit right now because I am pregnant and I need the benefits for my family. Thanks.
