I signed an apartment rental lease 2 years ago and it stated I would be responsible for all utilities EXCEPT the water and garbage. There are not any submeters for water for the four units here. He told me I have to sign an addendum saying I would pay 1/4 of the water bill, and if I didn't he would serve me, reject my rent and evict me. He made it very clear this is not a rent increase. I have contacted my local rental board about this matter also, but just wanted other opinions.

I met a woman through my current job(which has nothing to do with research) and we started talking about books. We have similar interests and I mentioned I love reading up on certain topics. She offered me a side job doing research for her and asked me to give her an hourly rate.

One of my friends told me that you cannot base salaries on evaluations. I doubted it but I thought I'd ask. The thing is that I worked at this job the exact same time as another friend and she is making a little more than I am now. The evaluation policy where I work is ridiculuously biased. What is the exact policies and what can I do to fight it if salaries cannot be based on evaluations?

I make about $35,000 a year. I can't decide on what percent I should contribute. I don't want to go too low, but I also want a decent paycheck.

allow you to contribute 5,000 dollars a year. I'm new at this, but it seems to me that you can buy a 500,000 dollar house with it and make money within the IRA tax free. Isn't that like a half a million dollar contribution, which is way over the 5,000 dollar a year maximum? Maybe I'm having a really big misunderstanding, it seems that self directed IRA's allow you to invest more per year.

They are going to do a background check. i have only one misdemeanor criminal offense and did not bring it up because they didnt ask about misdemeanors, only felonies.
When they find out about the misdemeanor, do you think they will consider me dishonest for not mentioning it.
Does that seem shady? I didnt lie, i was 100% honest.

Will I go to jail or what. Is there anyone or any company that can help me. Why does the guy always take it in the shorts in a divorce?

Hello. I am currently being threatened by my bank of having my checking account closed due to an overdraft. When I became aware of this, I opened another account with a different bank before the Chexsystems thing went through. Now, my question is...since I've opened another account...will Chexsystems be able to close that account as well? Will my new account be threatened in any way?
Thanks.
